You're getting married! Isn't that grand? You have to start planning right away. The wedding has to be great! There are many things that need planning for the wedding; you need help, ideas and suggestions. Many people will volunteer to jump in help, they all have ideas and they all have an idea about what the wedding should be like, including the vendors. But before you talk to anyone, STOP! Stop for a few minutes and think.



What is it that you want? What kind of person are you? You will want your wedding to reflect you. Perhaps you are simple and appreciate the simple things in life. Than give this even more thought. Because once you are out the door, starting to plan things, hiring wedding vendors, the wedding might take a course hat you don't want unless your own ideas are crystal clear.



So let's go back to what you want. You are a simple person and you appreciate simple things. You hate glamour and fancy decorations. Good! So do I. Keep this in mind in everything you plan, from the venues you choose to the floral arrangements and cake. Simple is elegant, simple is discrete beauty.

Planning a simple wedding will not be easy, because weddings are expected to be unique by glamour, not by simplicity. You may even have to convince friends, family and vendors to accept your ideas. Your husband to be will most likely be pleased by this choice.

So what does simple mean for instance when you think of the cake? What is a simple wedding cake like? It will most likely be a white traditional, tiered cake, with little decorations, such as ribbons, fresh flowers or discrete embellishments like beads or simple jewel like decorations. Although this may not be your main concern a simple wedding cake will also reduce costs dramatically as bakers will charge according to the time spent on making it and decorations usually are the most time consuming in the process of making the wedding cake.

Can you imagine a more beautiful wedding cake than a tall round 3 tiered white cake embellished with a few jewel like decorations and topped with fresh red roses? It has the simple elegance of a princess.



Have you ever heard the saying less is more? Simple elegance will go a long way and despite what anyone may think a simple wedding cake, simple and elegant flower arrangements will bring unique beauty to a wedding. No wonder more and more brides are giving up glamour for simplicity. And if you manage to pull it off and get past all those who will try to tell you that glamour should be the rule, what a wonderful perfect wedding you will have. And how wonderful it will be for you to look back on it, without secretly regretting the flashy decorations.
