Not every couple affords to dream of a lavish, elaborated, intricate, whimsical and grandiose wedding cake. The reasons why so many brides and grooms of today usually opt for a more casual, modest, simple and clean and yet chic, dainty and stylish wedding cake are many.




Despite the fact that a more intricate and artistic huge wedding cake can cost hundreds of dollars and therefore only wealthy couples can afford to buy one, a simple wedding cake is more fashionable these days than a complex one. In fact, there are tow main groups of fashionable and vogue wedding cakes: the towered nine-ten tiered wedding cakes and the smaller, simplistic and yet creative wedding cakes.

It all depends on your personal style, taste and vision. But if the wedding you’re planning is more casual, intimate, smaller and decent, then you should pick a smaller simple and plain wedding cake. There is no need to buy an expensive sophisticated and layered wedding cake if the wedding is smaller otherwise you’ll be facing leftovers that don’t worth the money. Don’t worry about the fact that a less sophisticated wedding cake can be too simple, boring and dull. There are many ways to transform a cheap white plain wedding cake into a colorful creative centerpiece.

For example let’s assume that you like flowers and you don’t dislike at all the idea of having a floral wedding cake. In this case you can buy a cheap white wedding cake and have it adorned with roses, for example. Depending on the season of the wedding, you can choose from various colors and types of roses.


A simple wedding cake with roses can always look extremely romantic, feminine, inviting, refined, dainty, stylish, classy and yet fashionable. If you don’t want your simple wedding cake with roses to look too traditional or formal, opt for a more vibrant and dynamic colored types of roses, such as summery garden roses in hot pin, fuchsia, bright yellow, orange, brown, purple, mauve, blue or black.
