Rose Wedding Cakes

The well known rose flower is a plant from the Rose family which is the biggest family of the Angiospermae flowering plants.

The roses are parasitic by nature because they grow on dead or wild trees and can be found all over the world; specialists have identified a type of climbing rose, epiphytic rose and terrestrial rose and the stunning fact that the orchid seed will germinate only if it is penetrated by threads of fungus.

Ever since the ancient times the rose symbolized greed, wealth or lust. One type of rose, got its name after a temple on Cyprus, Phaphos, where Aphrodite was the worshiped goddess; the women from Greece also thought that the rose had the power to control the sex of the unborn children, so if the father ate large tubers he will have a son and if the mother ate tubers of small proportion, the child will definitely be a female.

In the Chinese culture, the rose symbolizes innocence and refinement.

The rose, famous all over the world, was used by the Aztecs to give them strength by mixing it with chocolate.

The rose is one of those flowers loved by all of us because of its beauty and rarity. The fact that its life span is so short and that some species can only grow and be found in certain parts of the world make them so irresistible.

It is an elegant flower and its characteristics make the rose fit to be used only on special occasions, such as a wedding ceremony. And if you don’t have enough money to fill the wedding hall with rose flower arrangements and option would be to use the rose as the main theme for your wedding cake.

There is a wide variety of rose themed wedding cakes available on the market but you can also make them yourself if you have the necessary time and inspiration; a better suggestion would be to order them online because there you may find cheap and unique rose wedding cake designs, patterns, of all colors and shapes.

The wedding cake could either be one-coloured, giving it a classic appearance ; the wedding etiquette demands that a wedding cake should give information about the wedding ceremony, You may as well write some poetry lines, favorite lyrics or quotes and even verses on the top or bottom of the wedding cake or on a separate sheet of paper included on the plates on which the cake is going to be served.

The same as for the wedding invitations, the etiquette for wedding cakes demands that they are hand-addressed or engraved, preferably the first option.

The rose wedding cake will make a great impression on your guests, especially if you are having a classic wedding ceremony, because it is the rose which inspires purity, romance, love, and beauty. All these combined under one ceremony, will make your wedding seem one of the most elegant, stylish and romantic events ever attended by your guests.

Oh my gosh… these wedding cakes are simply beautiful. I have my wedding cake all figured out and I want it to have roses too. I want the roses on my cake to be white and the toppings have to be a different color for them to match. I thought about this because my hubby brought me a huge bouquet of white roses when he proposed to me and I want my wedding to be full or personal things that are somehow related to our history together. And the wedding cake also has to be delicious and good looking so the guests can talk about it for months to come.
