The film is a romantic drama, with classical heroes, King Kong being a kind of Romeo loving Juliet belonging to a rival noble families (Well, even “Juliet” seems to be of noble caste). The whole world is against their love, so finally, the hero dies in the same classic style, trying to protect his girlfriend. It doesn’t has all the classic points of the Shakespeare’s drama rather “plagiarizes” – in an original style – “Beauty and the Beast”, just as, unfortunately for our “beast”, there is no spell that transforms it into a prince charming.

I was disappointed a little by the action. The film reates a successful suspense with the discovery of the island, but the elements introduced later give you a little sense of exaggeration, somewhat forced. Scenes of New York are made better, however, some tricks seem fake, cut from magazines to comics. But ultimately, the end so dramatically get you to forgive some technical left-handers (and not only) and even to overlook them …Overall, the film is successful and on the public taste.
