Japanese Wedding Cake Toppers

Historically, traditional japanese weddings were held in Shinto sources. A spring Shinto is, in the Japanese beliefs, the correspondent of the Christian chapel, like a box that houses the spirits of all things. Thus, many places of today’s ceremony host as the source, for couples who want a traditional wedding. Everybody also expects for a wonderful wedding cake and a cute wedding cake topper. So the grooms must be careful at what they choose because this is the most special day in their life and it must be unforgetable.




The future japanese bride is painted in pure white from head to toe, declaring and so visibly, the status of the Virgin, before the gods. The wedding dress is actually a white kimono and the head piece is very elaborate and covered with lots of ornaments designed to bring luck to the young couple. A piece of white cloth is attached to the kimono, and carried his head like a veil to hide the horns of jealousy aimed at large-law. Usually the Japanese groom wears a black kimono. While the bride and the groom speak their vows, the two families are face to face in the opposite direction on the two grooms. During the ceremony, according to tradition, the bride and groom participate in a ritual during which each of them drink nine cups of sake, ritual after which the two will be considered as married. As a symbol of the union of the couple, families and guests, they drink too sake during this ceremony.

For the reception, the new bride turns into a red kimono and later, in a European-style dress. Invitations offer to the couple money during the banquet, hidden in the festive envelopes. Due to the seasonal and the climate, many couples choose spring or winter for ceremonies. Also, some days are considered lucky so do not be surprised to see thousands of Japanese couples starting their honeymoon on the same day.

The Japanese Wedding Ceremony is called yuino and is a symbolic exchange of gifts between spouses families. Among the popular gifts include konbu, an alga whose name can be written so that mean pregnant woman, a long rope, representing a wish to grow old together and torque to a fan whose wealth is stretching ahead. The main gift is the money, which are placed in a special envelope called Shugi-bukuro gold and silver thread and is unbreakable. Other gifts are offered in rice paper envelope. Another important aspect is of course the wedding cake and the topper. At a japanese wedding some couples may choose to have also a japanese wedding cake topper personalized just to look like them. This can be an original idea but it is not necessarily to be like this.

In the Japanese weddings, there is a moment when the bride and the groom bring contentment to their parents. At some wedding couples offer bouquets of flowers, a toast or a love letter and thanked the parents. Wedding speeches and blessings are very important in Japanese weddings. Family, friends, colleagues and teachers, all standing at a time to make the best wishes to the couple. Traditionally these speeches with moral character can be told about the importance of marriage. A bride from Japan spends 30 or $ 50 for her wedding guests. Among the items offered include origami cranes, a bird that symbolizes a long and happy marriage or a bag of glazed almonds.
