How To Make A Wedding Cake Topper

How to make a wedding cake topper?
There are many  different styles of toppers for wedding cake.You can  find a wide range, starting with monograms and small sculptures in the form of bride and groom which give uniqueness to the cake. A decorative ribbon is an elegant alternative.

What you will need to make your wedding cake topper:
• cream fondant in desired colors;
• flour or powdered sugar;
• dough roller;
• batter bowl or spread machine (optional)
• small knife to cut;
• peg to fit the length;
• parchment paper or a flat surface to dry;
• plastic covers to cover the fondant
• confectionery items such as white chocolate, melted and colored to match the fondant and glaze.

Step 1
Stretch a piece of cream fondant on a flat surface until it is smooth and pliable. Sprinkle a little flour on a work or powdered sugar for the fondant to not stick.
Step 2
Spread cream flux with a plastic or wooden paddle. The cream must be thin enough to dry quickly and sufficiently thick to have the form. If using a dough machine stretched, the thicker flux begins to thin as one passes through the machine.
Step 3
Put cream  lying on a flat surface and cut it into strips of equal width with a knife or a ravioli cutter. The length of the bow depends on how long you are doing the ribbon. Once you cut the bands, cover them with foil to prevent their drying.

Step 4
Join ends of strips bending them at the end ,shrivels them not to open up and put them on a baking sheet to dry. Turn loops on hand to ensure you will retain shape. An alternative to this process would be to lay strips of equal distances apart, positioned in the middle of a thin paddle their part over the other and bend at the end shrivels to fit in this position. Sets up the paddle for the curls to dry evenly.

Step 5
Knead until it becomes smooth  some cream and spread it to the same thickness as the loops that you achieved earlier. To achieve the ends of the bow, cut a little thicker than tape loop. Measure the top floor of the wedding cake and estimate their length. After you cut the bands, shrivels them for more volume. Using a knife, cut out their end-shaped “V” for a decorative look. Let them dry completely.
Step 6
Arrange several loops in a circle. Put some glue in the middle of their food or glaze to fit each other, then stop applying a layer. Continue to layer until you have completed the loop and glue the topper for the wedding cake.
Step 7
Once you have assembled loops, attach the ends underneath and the Ribbon is ready.
