Floral Wedding Cakes
Since they are perennial sources of inspiration for poets, designers, painters, decorators, sculptors, they can be also counted among the elements to decorate the wedding day of a young couple. The types of blossoms and their colors have been used and still are in the atmosphere of a wedding celebration. Flowers carry within their appearance symbolic meanings that are widely utilized in the art of decoration either it comes to the bridal bouquets or wedding cakes.

As a main symbol of the dinner table at a wedding reception, wedding cake comes last in the list of symbolic elements that are to be found in the unfolding of a wedding. Perhaps not too many young married couples know that inside that beautiful floral wedding cake lays the symbol of supporting and sharing that a couple would carry along with the gesture of cutting and sharing of the cake. The act of cutting the cake happens with the bride holding the knife and her husband's hand on top of hers supporting her gesture. This is a nice and full of expression gesture to symbolize the support that both wife and husband expect to get from one another.
The act of sharing is performed by the gesture of feeding each other a piece of the freshly cut slice as a symbol of living every piece of their life in a total sharing to one another. Then the gesture of sharing the cake to their guests completes the list of symbols that are so beautifully reflected by the wedding celebration. Wedding cakes that have flowers as decorative elements are made in accordance to the bride's wishes; some brides preferring to have the same flowers of their bouquets as decorative items of their wedding cake or others simply choose the floral decorations of the cakes with colors and blossoms to symbolize love and happiness that rule over the day of their wedding.
