Fillings For Wedding Cakes

Today, when the most common filling for wedding cakes is the vanilla cream and exotic options are increasingly in demand, more and more couples prefer a simple chocolate filling for the cake in honor of the bride.

Why choose chocolate fillings for the wedding cake?
Why should the bride choose something so common as a chocolate filling cake, when so many sophisticated fillings are available? Because the wedding cake is often a luxury and a chocolate filling for the wedding cake is simply more economical.

Types of chocolate fillings for wedding cakes:
Chocolate is not necessarily trivial. Conversely, there are a variety of flavors that can give a distinctive note to the cake, including:
• Milk chocolate;
• Dark chocolate bittersweet;
• Chocolate concentrated;
• White chocolate;
• Chocolate cake without flour;
• Chocolate-flavored rum, liqueurs, etc.
• Chocolate with fruits, such as raspberry or orange.

With so many fillings available (which can be combined into a wedding cake with multiple tiers),the chocolate wedding cake can be personalized according to the preferences of the couple. Some grooms prefer the cake to have a less intense taste of chocolate and they choose cakes with a unique subtle flavor of chocolate which can be created with ease. You can opt for a biscuit and cream cake that has a fluffy crust of vanilla with chocolate biscuits incorporated. You can add chocolate pieces, chocolate chips or fondant chocolate without exaggeration.

Another option would be to add chocolate decorations beside the chocolate filling for the wedding cake. Chocolate flakes are available in various sizes and flavors (milk, bittersweet, white, caramel, mint or peanut) and give a touch of spice to the cake. To create a special wedding cake of the bride, you can add chocolate wafers, licorice, candies pulled in chocolate for more flavor and color.

Precautions:
Before you feast from a sophisticated wedding cake with chocolate filling, take note that although very popular, chocolate is not on everyone’s taste, and some guests may not want to  taste of such a cake, no matter how beautiful it looks. In addition, we know that chocolate stains, so the cake must be handled with care to avoid any stains on the elegant dresses or immaculate shirts. If the reception is held outdoors, the cake should be stored carefully to avoid melting the chocolate filling.
A chocolate cake is not only impressive, it may be also weird or funny. There are plenty of options to create an original chocolate cake even if the bride and groom want only a simply chocolate filling. White or black, chocolate filling is the perfect choice for your wedding cake.

Some couples may be skeptical regarding the wedding cakes made with dark chocolate filling because of the color that contrasts so sharply with the traditional white wedding. Although some grooms are adherents to the theory of  the “opposites that attract” when it comes to wedding cake, the chocolate cakes today should not necessarily be dark.  In fact, the cake frosting can be any color, depending on the preferences of the couple. White chocolate icing or other decoration can be used to mask off the inside filling of the wedding cake.
