A wedding is probably the event most packed with wedding traditions and
customs. And although you know them most of all, is good to know also their meaning. In addition, it is possible that some of them to read them now for the first time. In ancient times almost anything could be considered as bad omen. So brides used herbs that are known for the protection they could provide against evils. Another tradition both famous and beautiful! The custom of kissing dating from the Middle Ages, but at that time it had a very different meaning: it was the “seal” of an agreement. Later, the custom was transmitted with the same meaning to the wedding, when at the end of the ceremony the bride and groom, kissing, were sealing the vows that they have made.
