The core of the coconut, soaked in warm water to obtain coconut milk, with a sweet coconut and cream, used in confectionery. Grated coconut core is used in many Indian recipes, along with other spices like chili pepper, coriander, cumin to flavor the rice and spicy pasta. In Sri Lanka the bread is made from rice flour, coconut milk and yeast, from which we obtain a consistent dough that is baked on a hotplate. So, many couples may like to have a coconut wedding cake because of the white aspect which fits with a winter themed wedding and of course for its special taste!

In Thailand, the meats are cooked in coconut milk and many other spices, obtaining tender and flavorful dishes. An example of Thai food coconut milk: curry sauce is prepared with pimento, ginger, garlic, onions, cumin and coriander with shrimp paste and lime leaves. This mixture is then fried in oil and dissolved in coconut milk and simmer. This add beef broth or chicken and vegetables like eggplant, tomatoes and bamboo.
